favourite orchestral piece:
Béla Bartók · Concerto for Orchestra
[listen on Spotify]

“The orchestral repertoire is so vast and magnificent that it is very difficult to choose a single piece! Among the works that hold a special place in my heart is Béla Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra. Having Hungarian roots myself, the language and music of this country hold a special significance for me. When I was younger, my music teacher, who was also Hungarian, passed on his passion for Bartók, and made me discover and appreciate the Concerto for Orchestra.

It became a dream of mine back then to one day experience this work from within the orchestra—it was truly a ‘dream come true’ when we performed it in April 2024 under the direction of Kazushi Ono!“
