"I can't say for sure that this is my favourite piece—I find it difficult to think of a favourite one—but it is definitely one of the pieces that touches me the most.
Cavalleria Rusticana is the first opera I saw at the Teatro La Scala when I was a student in Milan, and I was particularly amazed by the Intermezzo. Additionally, the Intermezzo is the soundtrack from one of the best movies of all time: Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull."
