This concert is broadcasted live on Musiq'3.

The opening concert for Festival Musiq3 and a festive 100th edition of Mozartfest Würzburg - both festivals are joining forces for this concert, which will be broadcasted live as a radio concert.

As part of the "Mozarts Europa" series, the Mozartfest asked Renaud Capuçon, the 2015 Artiste étoile, to perform the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.

In addition, the orchestra will perform a new work by Anno Schreier, which was commissioned by the Mozartfest with the support of the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung. Schreier created a work aiming to find "the playful freedom and complex lightness that I know and love in Mozart".
