After a year of intensive rehearsals, a vibrant and determined group of kids from Brussels, aged between 8 and 12, will share the stage with the musicians of the Brussels Philharmonic—a spectacular finale to their musical journey this school year!

The El Sistema Belgium orchestra brings together students from elementary schools in Brussels. After school, these young musicians immerse themselves in violin, cello, viola, and flute lessons twice a week, practicing in small groups under the expert guidance of musicians from ReMuA vzw.
Once a month, they come together for a full orchestra session, all building towards an exhilarating moment: the annual end-of-year concert. On this special day, they take their place alongside the Brussels Philharmonic on the grand stage of Studio 4 in Flagey.
This year, the young musicians take us on a journey through dance-inspired music from around the world, from Brahms' energetic Hungarian Dances to the hauntingly beautiful Peer Gynt suites by Grieg. They’ll sweep you into the sultry rhythms of Piazzolla’s Libertango, the vibrant Danzón No. 2 by Márquez, and the mesmerizing Persian Dance No. 2 by Molookpour—a programme bursting with movement, melody, and emotion.
With the project El Sistema Belgium, every year ReMuA vzw gives thousands of children the chance to learn music at school and in their neighbourhood. "The rehearsals bring young people together around a common artistic project, and despite the obstacles at the start, a warm bond always develops within the group." But it's more than just music; it's also a lesson in citizenship, exchange, respect, and listening to one another, topped with the joy of making music together.
