This first edition of Digital Spring in Brussels will be inaugurated with a spectacular evening in the Hotel de la Poste, on the site of Tour & Taxis. More than 40 musicians from the Brussels Philharmonic will perform several live compositions created by artificial intelligence, and inspired by great classical composers such as Beethoven, Stravinsky and John Williams, as well as a surprise specially prepared for the evening.
The electronic composition system of the Luxembourg company AIVA (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Artist), also associated with the event, will propel technology into the cultural arena. In 2016, AIVA, a pioneer of this new industry, released an album of symphonic music, based on algorithms, called "Genesis". At the end of this very special concert, that Leonard Bernstein would have approved of, there will be a question and answer session with the musicians and technicians in which the public will be able to take part.
Digital Spring is a genuine immersive experience that introduces you to various technologies and digital creation. This first edition will take place from 22 to 22 March 2019.
